Visit to Natural History Museum – Wildlife Photographer of the Year
I saw an advertisement for this event when I visited the Natural History museum a couple of weeks ago. I checked on the internet last night that it was still on so I decided that I would pop along for a visit.
Although entry to the museum was free there was a small entrance fee. The show is officially called the “Veolia environnment Wildlife Photographer of the Year” . Help is also given by the Museum and the BBC.
As you can imagine there were some great images. The ones that I though were the most interesting were where the photographer not only had to take the pictures but at the same time display another skill, such as diving underwater.
The winning image was by a photographer called Paul Nicklen from Canada, it’s called :-
Bubble-jetting emperors
Thank you to Mr Nicklen, the BBC, the Natural History Museum and Veolia for allowing me to show the image.
Please see the following website for details of the event.
I have to say it was well worth the visit and it gave me a lot to think about.
