This project requires me to look at three pictures that I have previously taken. I will then look at each of them and see if after they are cropped a new image will emerge.
The first image that I have chosen is a young boy sitting on the floor.
I took this image after I saw the lad trying to ride his scooter down the road, he fell off and then just sat down with his head in his hand.
I have chosen this crop
The look on the lads face is great, you just look at him and wonder what he is thinking about.
The second image that I have chose was taken at the beach. I saw a guy taking pictures of the sea.
The crop I have chosen cuts out the “clutter”
The only shame in my mind is the guy in the background.
The third image that I have chosen was taken whilst I was on a course at the Photography School in Reading. My instructor was Mr Freddie Walker, who was excellent.
The image is of a fellow student, Andera, as you can see she is very pretty. (I chose another picture of her for my first Assignment)
Here is the first image
I think that this is a great picture, the crop I chose concentrates on her eyes and as you can see they are stunning.
No matter which way you look at the image she is always looking at you.
I think that the three cropped images show that there is always a picture within a picture. It made me realise that I should never get rid of any image “in camera” until I have checked it on my computer, where I have a better chance of seeing the second image within the shot.
Again a good exercise that has produced some excellent results.
