Last night I entered two pictures in the above competition.
The judge was a lady called Jay Charnock (FRPS). She is a Committee Member of the Visual Arts Group of the Royal Photographic Society.
During the evening she looked at many images and had positive things to say about every image including where , in her view, improvements could be made.
She was both interesting and entertaining, even though she had a cold!.
The images that I put into the competition were taken from previous images that I have already submitted to the OCA.
My image of the day below, the lady waving from the train was awarded 10/10. I was very pleased with this result.
The picture of the man rowing the boat, seen earlier on my blog, was less successful and got 7.5/10. Mrs Charnock suggested a crop to remove a distraction on the right side of the image. What do you think?
