On the way home from work I came across the scene of a traffic accident in Dorking. The Police Officers said the victim was not seriously injured (subsequently released from hospital) so I thought it would be a good exercise to capture some images.
It did worry me a little that I was attempting to capture images of an event that had resulted in another person suffering injuries. I wonder if Press Photographers feel the same way? Do they ever think about putting the camera down and helping the person or would they always get the shot first?
In this Image I focused on the Police vehicle vehicle as I wanted to blur the registration numbers of the cars in the background and the faces of the Police Officers.
In this image I focused on the bicycle, but I kept the “Police Tape” running across the frame. Later I focused on the “Police Tape” to see what the difference would be.
Which image is better? Which image would a News Paper print?
